Cloud Accounting & Making Tax Digital

HMRC is seeking to become one of the most digitally advanced tax administrations in the world. Making Tax Digital is making fundamental changes to the way the tax system works with a view to becoming more effective, more efficient and easier for taxpayers to get their tax right.

From 1 April 2019, VAT registered businesses with a turnover of £85,000 and above are required to keep records digitally and use software to submit their VAT returns.

Cloud accounting simply means accessing accounting software and data securely over the internet rather than your computer’s hard drive. The benefits include accessibility, real-time information, automatic updates and security of data.

There is no one size fits all solution and because of this Whitelaw Wells is well placed to help find the right option for you, assist with set-up, provide tailored training and offer on-going support.
